World Travel Market(WTM) Latin America strives to build connections and drive business growth in the travel and tourism sector. This is why travel agents, who play a vital role in the industry, are actively encouraged to participate in the event each year.

Through the Agent on the Road program, WTM Latin America invites sales partners from various regions of Brazil to join the official program and a custom schedule designed for the largest B2B gathering in the area, held at Expo Center Norte.

Interamerican oversees the program, providing a specialized team to address the unique needs of attendees. The program offers participants the opportunity to expand their professional network through meetings and networking events with key destinations and suppliers. Additionally, they can attend thematic theater presentations to deepen their knowledge of best practices, trends, and innovations in the Latin American market.

“The investment we make in the Agent on the Road program reflects WTM Latin America’s recognition of one of the driving forces of our industry, which is the travel agent. Our main goal is for the program to be a catalyst for best practices, empowering participating agents to become knowledge multipliers, fostering the growth of our industry,” says Bianca Pizzolito, head of WTM Latin America.

The executive has announced the opening of 500 positions for the 2024 Agent on the Road program, offering air and road travel options for professionals from all over Brazil. This opportunity extends to agents located in major capitals and cities within São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

“We aim to diversify and provide opportunities to new professionals, and this year, we will bring in participants from Maringá, Paraná, and Aracaju, Sergipe, who have not participated in previous editions,” highlights Danielle Roman, CEO of Interamerican.

To qualify, individuals must be registered in the event’s database as a ticketing agent, possess an active CNPJ (National Register of Legal Entities), hold a Cadastur (National Registry of Tourism Professionals) certification, conduct sales through operators, and be available to participate in the events and meetings organized by ConnectMe, WTM Latin America’s scheduling platform.

“This is a collaborative effort by the WTM Latin America team and the Interamerican team, where everything is meticulously thought out, discussed, and planned. The Agent on the Road Program is successful because each year we build together an initiative of higher quality and value for exhibitors and agents,” concludes the CEO of Interamerican.
