The recent Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) in Chennai, India, concluded successfully with productive business meetings and insightful discussions. Positioned as a leading city in India’s metropolitan landscape and a dynamic tourism hub, Chennai hosted the TTF, the premier travel trade show in the Southern circuit, just ahead of the summer holidays.

Running from March 15th to 17th, the TTF Chennai 2024 edition brought together various exhibitors, industry experts, and tourism enthusiasts, creating three days of networking, collaboration, and exploration. With over 160 exhibitors, including domestic and international travel brands, the event became a crucial part of the TTF series, facilitating significant interactions and partnerships. Starting with exclusive B2B sessions for the first 1.5 days, the event later opened to both B2B and B2C audiences, offering visitors and vacation planners a chance to discover new destinations and avail exciting offers for their summer trips. The exhibition attracted more than 3,000 trade visitors and travel enthusiasts.

The spotlight was on Tamil Nadu, the Host State, which, along with 14 co-participants, showcased its stunning landscapes and tourist spots, promoting engagement and building lasting connections. Tamil Nadu is renowned as one of India’s premier travel destinations. The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, also played a significant role, highlighting their initiatives.

The event promoted cultural exchange and economic growth by featuring unique attractions from various Indian states and international destinations, including Bihar, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, Jharkhand, and Telangana, each presenting their distinct offerings. Noteworthy participation came from the private sector in India and countries like Nepal and Thailand, with entities such as SOTC Travel Ltd., Riya Travels, The Nest Luxury Resorts, and others leaving their mark.

With exhibitors representing travel agencies, tour operators, hospitality services, destination management companies (DMCs), and tourist attractions, TTF Chennai 2024 served as a comprehensive and vibrant platform for the travel and tourism industry.

“TTF Chennai 2024 had a great turn-out this year. Our exhibitors saw a lot of enquiries from
trade visitors and travel lovers! We would like to thank all participants, exhibitors, and visitors,
our sponsors, and partners, for their unwavering support and participation,” stated Sanjiv
Agarwal, Chairman & CEO of Fairfest Media Ltd.
, the organisers of the event. “Your
enthusiasm and dedication have been a source of encouragement and motivation for us to
continue to expand our reach and size, year after year. We look forward to welcoming you to the
next edition of TTF in Kolkata,” he added.

The three-day event drew a large number of participants from the travel industry across Southern India, including both newcomers and established entities. The TTF series is India’s most venerable and expansive travel trade show network, offering premier marketing opportunities to promote tourism in key travel hubs across the country. The series extends beyond Chennai to cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Patna.

Looking ahead to 2024, the outlook for travel and tourism is promising. To capitalize on this anticipated demand, the organizers have scheduled upcoming events in the TTF series. These include TTF Kolkata from July 12 to 14, TTF Ahmedabad from August 7 to 9, and TTF Patna on September 27 and 28. Additionally, BLTM will be held in Delhi from August 29 to 31. These events are expected to attract significant attendance from the travel industry, enthusiasts, and media, further stimulating growth within the sector.
