The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is showcasing Thailand’s diverse tourist attractions and dedication to sustainable tourism at the South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024 in New Delhi, India, from February 22 to 24.

SATTE is a leading business-to-business platform that brings together travel and tourism professionals from India and around the world. It is renowned as India’s most important annual travel fair, now in its 31st year, and is anticipated to draw over 35,000 trade visitors.

Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Tourism and Sports said “TAT’s participation in India’s leading business-to-business travel exhibition is an excellent opportunity for Thai exhibitors to present our unique tourism offerings to existing and potentially new partners, while underlining our direction in driving Thailand towards experience-based and sustainable tourism.”

Today, the Amazing Thailand Stand opened at SATTE, with a ceremony led by H.E. Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, the Minister of Tourism and Sports. She was accompanied by H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, the Ambassador of Thailand to India, and Mr. Chote Trachu, the TAT Chairman of the Board of Directors.

This marks TAT’s 15th year participating in SATTE. The Thailand delegation at the three-day TRAVEX comprises 59 exhibitors, presenting a range of offerings including hotels, tour operators, attractions, airlines, golf courses, and the Thailand Privilege Card.

Mr. Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and the South Pacific, said “We aim to reinforce Thailand’s position as the preferred tourism destination for Indian travellers by promoting our distinct tourism offerings through the showcase of local wisdoms, cultural values, and sustainable tourism practices. For our participation at SATTE 2024, we hope to secure over 5,000 business appointments.”

The Amazing Thailand Exhibit presents the theme of “sustainability,” showcasing bamboo wickerwork that highlights the local knowledge and artisanal skills unique to various regions of Thailand. This initiative aligns with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) efforts to promote sustainable travel through its Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs).

In addition to three days focused on business-to-business discussions, TAT organized an ‘Executive Luncheon’ for top tour operators from India and held the Amazing Thailand Media Briefing on February 21.
