Singapore is gearing up to host the first-ever edition of The Meetings Show Asia Pacific on April 17 to 18, 2024, at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. This event signifies a major milestone for the Asia Pacific MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) market, underscoring Singapore’s increasing prominence as a prime destination for business events.

Organized by Northstar Travel Group, The Meetings Show Asia Pacific will showcase a diverse range of global exhibitors, including destination bureaus, venues, hotels, technology providers, and other MICE industry suppliers. The event is set to be Northstar’s largest organic launch, highlighting the dynamic growth potential in the MICE sector across the Asia Pacific region.

David Blansfield, Executive Vice President and Group Publisher at Northstar Travel Group, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Meetings Show Asia Pacific promises to be the largest organic event launch by every measure in the history of Northstar.” He further emphasized the event’s role in showcasing the MICE industry’s future potential throughout the APAC region.

The Meetings Show Asia Pacific is designed to attract leading international meeting buyers and decision-makers through its renowned Hosted Buyer Programme. This program provides participants with a range of advantages, such as pre-arranged meetings with exhibitors, travel and accommodation perks, familiarization trips, and exclusive networking chances.

Yap Chin Siang, Deputy Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, highlighted Singapore’s selection as the host city, affirming its status as the preferred MICE destination in Asia. “We are excited for the debut of this premium business event, and we are confident that attendees will establish valuable connections and gain useful insights through interactions among the MICE industry stakeholders,” said Yap.

The event will include a conference focusing on the theme “Asia Pacific’s Role in Recasting the Global MICE Sector,” covering crucial topics such as sustainability, technology, workforce management, experience design, and wellness. Highlighted sessions will delve into APAC business travel trends, event marketing strategies, global MICE trends, challenges and opportunities in workforce and community management, and the latest tech innovations for enhancing event experiences.

The Tech Campfire Showcase, a key component of the education program, will provide insights into cutting-edge technologies and AI-powered solutions for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. This segment will feature presentations from top tech companies like Cvent, Unearthed Productions, Jublia, Gevme, Zenus, and Pigeonhole Live, aimed at enhancing audience engagement and delivering seamless event experiences.

The Meetings Show Asia Pacific 2024 is more than just an event; it showcases the dynamic evolution of the MICE industry in the Asia Pacific region and Singapore’s pivotal role in this transformation.
