Airbus SE shareholders approved all proposals at the Company’s 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Amsterdam on April 10th.
Key decisions included extending Chairman René Obermann’s tenure, along with those of non-executive directors Victor Chu, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, and Amparo Moraleda, each for three years. Mr. Obermann was formally reinstated as Chairman during a subsequent Board meeting.
Additionally, Dr. Feiyu Xu joined as a non-executive director, succeeding Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., who resigned immediately after the AGM. Dr. Xu’s appointment spans two years, aligning with the remainder of Mr. Crosby’s term.
Dr. Xu, a member of ZF Friedrichshafen AG’s Supervisory Board and an AI industry expert, brings valuable expertise. Her appointment increases female directors’ representation on the Board from 33% to 42%, in line with Airbus’s commitment to diversity.
Airbus renews Board mandates in cohorts of four at each AGM to ensure smooth transitions and retain necessary skills. Shareholders also approved the proposed dividends for 2023, including a €1.80 per share gross dividend (unchanged from 2022) and a €1.00 per share special dividend.
