The International Tourism Fair in Pristina, now in its third year, has become a highly anticipated event in Kosovo’s capital, showcasing the region’s tourism potential. Albania, renowned for its stunning Mediterranean landscapes, seized the opportunity to present its unique attractions, boasting both breathtaking coastlines and impressive mountain ranges, setting itself apart in the Balkans.
Albania’s presence at the fair was significant, with contributions from the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the National Tourism Agency, and various stakeholders from coastal areas and the tourism sector. Notable attendees included Albania’s Deputy Minister of Tourism Vilma Bello, Pristina’s Mayor Përparim Rama, and key figures from the Kosovo Tourism Union.
The National Tourism Agency highlighted Albania as a year-round destination, inviting guests from Kosovo and beyond to explore its Adriatic and Ionian shores, UNESCO heritage sites, and charming rural villages. A highlight was the unveiling of the “Albania All Senses” exhibit, showcasing innovations from the TEA Application designed to enhance tourist experiences and guide visitors to Albania’s key attractions. The app, well-received by attendees, also provides access to the Digital National Calendar for upcoming events.
Discussions on strengthening tourism ties were held, involving Deputy Minister Vilma Bello, Zana Çela (General Director of the National Tourism Agency), and Albania’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj. The goal is to promote a seamless travel experience between Albania and Kosovo.
With over 300 exhibitors from 15 European nations and beyond, including tourism boards, hotels, restaurants, vineyards, traditional Albanian guesthouses, agrotourism ventures, wellness tourism businesses, and local craftsmen, the fair underscored its international appeal.
