Jacqui Naylor’s new album “TREASURES OF THE HEART” blends jazz and pop

Jacqui Naylor is recognized as one of today’s most innovative vocalists, defying easy categorization with her blend of R&B, jazz, soul, and pop. Her upcoming 12th album, “TREASURES OF THE HEART,” features four re-imagined pop and jazz standards alongside 10 original compositions co-written with her pianist husband, Art Khu. Naylor will kick off a global tour on March 11th in support of the album, including two shows at the iconic Blues Alley Jazz in Washington DC.

Based in San Francisco, Naylor has graced prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Monterey Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s in London, and the Blue Note in New York, Tokyo, and Milan. Following her U.S. concerts, including six at the SFJAZZ Center, she will embark on a five-country European tour.

On “TREASURES OF THE HEART,” Naylor is joined by a seasoned band, including Khu on piano, guitar, Rhodes, and celeste, who has previously collaborated with artists like Idina Menzel and Donald Byrd.
