The ITB Berlin Convention 2024 has revealed its online program for the event, scheduled to take place from March 5 to 7. This program offers an extensive exploration of the future of the travel industry. Operating under the theme “Pioneer the Transition in Travel & Tourism. Together,” the convention will assemble experts to delve into the realms of artificial intelligence, chatbots, and machine learning.
This year’s convention places a strong emphasis on the technological evolution within the travel sector. The increasing integration of artificial intelligence, embraced by both travel companies and customers, is gradually reshaping the landscape and norms of the tourism industry. Notably, machine learning is playing a pivotal role in personalizing travel bookings and enhancing unique vacation experiences. Artificial intelligence is not only influencing destination choices but also leaving its mark on hotel bookings, car rentals, and restaurant visits.
The ITB Berlin Convention 2024 is committed to conducting a comprehensive analysis of the background and opportunities arising from digital transformation. Among the 17 themed tracks, five eTravel Tracks will explore various aspects of digital change. For the first time, there will be a dedicated track focused on artificial intelligence, providing practical insights based on current case studies and profound expertise. The Hospitality Track and Hotel Technology Track will address how hoteliers can navigate digital transformation, while the Technology Tours and Activities Forum (TTA) is set to make a return.
Esteemed speakers from international and national companies and research institutions will deliver top-level analyses and assessments. The lineup includes industry leaders such as Nina Lind (Partner, McKinsey & Company), Vivian Zhou (Vice President, Jin Jiang Group), and Kevin King (COO, Shiji Group), offering diverse perspectives on digital transformation from various industries and countries. Behshad Behzadi (Vice President of Engineering, Generative Conversational AI, Google Cloud), widely recognized as “Mr. AI” in his field, will provide exclusive insights into the world of artificial intelligence.
