The Antwerp-hosted IAPCO EDGE Seminar, held from January 16-18, 2024, showcased the city’s innovation in event hosting. Organized by the Antwerp Convention Bureau, VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau, and Semico, the seminar gathered 65 PCOs and industry leaders. Themed “The City is Your Venue,” the event, conducted in English, featured lectures and workshops, emphasizing Antwerp’s charm and adaptability.
Highlights included events at iconic venues like The Radisson Blu, Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp, and Sapphire House Antwerp Hotel. Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, CEO of Antwerp Convention Bureau, emphasized the city’s unique brand promise, where events seamlessly integrate into the city’s fabric. Mathias Posch from IAPCO praised Antwerp’s role in their 50th-anniversary celebration, citing its culture and hospitality. Evelyne Bardyn from VISITFLANDERS Convention Bureau highlighted collaboration for positive societal change through conferences.
Antwerp, with its rich history and modern infrastructure, remains a standout global conference destination, attracting international organizations and events through the efforts of the Antwerp Convention Bureau and its partners.
