The launch of The Meetings Show Asia Pacific marks a significant milestone in capturing the burgeoning MICE market of the region, building on the success of its London counterpart. This event, backed by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), is set to revolutionize the landscape for meeting and event organizers in Asia Pacific with its 2024 edition.

Projected to witness a surge in the MICE market from USD 412.18 billion in 2023 to USD 783.63 billion by 2032, the show is poised to showcase a wide array of destinations, venues, hotels, technology solutions, and key industry suppliers from Asia and beyond, catering to the vibrant Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Events (MICE) sector.

Organized by a leading company in business-to-business information, events, and marketing solutions within the travel industry, The Meetings Show is expanding its portfolio to include travel and MICE events and publications.

Employing a successful hosted buyer model, The Meetings Show Asia Pacific will feature an amalgamation of trade exhibition, conference, and networking opportunities, creating an ideal platform for MICE professionals across the APAC region to connect.

The event’s unique hosted buyer program is designed to bring together senior MICE buyers and planners with a wide range of top exhibitors through pre-scheduled meetings. Participants include notable entities such as the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, Singapore Tourism Board, Dubai Tourism, and others, ensuring a rich and diverse tradeshow experience.

In collaboration with Northstar, prominent meetings industry associations like MPI, SITE, and IAEE are joining forces to support their members’ business and professional development through The Meetings Show Asia Pacific. This partnership, under the Global MICE Collaborative (GMC), aims to offer educational resources and a vast network to MICE professionals in emerging markets, with additional association partnerships expected to be announced.

Scheduled for 17-18 April 2024 at the prestigious Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, the show is geared towards fostering new partnerships and addressing industry challenges in an evolving business environment.

Ong Wee Min and Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya underscore the networking and business potential of the event, along with the focus on wellness and sustainability in meetings. They also discuss the support and opportunities provided for creating unique local experiences and promoting economic growth through MICE activities.

Bjoern Spreitzer from Tourism New Zealand highlights the country’s efforts to attract association conference business and the aim to deepen relationships and increase conference hosting in the Asia Pacific region, leveraging New Zealand’s unique cultural and infrastructural offerings.
