The Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) is making significant strides in promoting Morocco as a premier travel destination at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2023. This event, held from November 6-8, is one of the world’s largest B2B trade exhibitions, and Morocco’s active participation showcases its commitment to the global travel industry.

Leading this enthusiastic Moroccan delegation is the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, alongside Adel El Fakir, the General Director of the MNTO, and Hamid Bentaher, President of the National Tourism Confederation. Their collective presence underscores the country’s dedication to showcasing Morocco’s diverse tourism offerings.

WTM London 2023 is known for generating substantial business contracts, and Morocco, designated as the Premier Partner for the 2023 edition, stands to gain exceptional branding opportunities and exclusive participation in the opening ceremony. This honor will further solidify Morocco’s status as a top global travel destination.

One of the highlights of the MNTO’s presence at WTM London 2023 is the unveiling of their new stand concept. This concept will be employed in all Moroccan trade events throughout 2023 and 2024, enhancing the country’s visibility and appeal in the international travel market. The Morocco pavilion, spanning 760 m², includes a dedicated 130 m² space for the Marrakech-Safi and Agadir-Souss Massa regions, two of the most popular destinations for British tourists. This strategic focus aims to captivate the attention of British travelers and boost tourism to these Moroccan regions.

In addition to their significant participation, the MNTO has signed a five-year partnership with JET2, a leading British tour operator. This collaboration is set to position Morocco as a top destination in JET2’s programming. In the first year, 17 weekly flights will be scheduled from various UK departure points, with potential for further growth up to 28 flights per week.

The MNTO has entered into a five-year partnership with eDreams ODIGEO, a renowned travel subscription platform owning popular brands like eDreams, GO Voyages, Opodo, and Travellink. This partnership aims to triple the current annual targets, with an expected annual growth rate of approximately 30%.

The MNTO’s active participation at WTM London 2023 aligns with their dynamic “Light In Action” strategy, reinforcing Morocco’s presence in traditional markets while also exploring opportunities in emerging markets. These efforts are crucial in elevating Morocco as a top global travel destination, and the partnerships forged at this prestigious event are expected to play a pivotal role in achieving this goal. Morocco’s rich culture, diverse landscapes, and warm hospitality are poised to captivate travelers from around the world, making it a must-visit destination in the coming years.
