    The 2024 Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (BIT) held at Fieramilanocity has concluded, offering important insights into the state of the tourism industry. A significant highlight is the resurgence of the sector in 2023, characterized by a notable increase in international visitors and revenue for Italy’s hospitality sector. A study commissioned by ENIT-Unioncamere to ISNART revealed that the average room occupancy rate reached 51%, showing a 3.8% increase compared to 2019, which was considered the peak year for Italian tourism. Additionally, international demand grew by 10% over 2019 and 7% over 2022, with foreign visitors spending an average of 68 Euros per person per day on Italian soil, reflecting a positive balance of 2.9% within a year.
