ITB Asia, the premier travel trade show in Asia, commenced at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands. The event, which is taking place simultaneously with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia, promises three full days of networking opportunities with foreign exhibitors, in addition to insightful conference sessions. The opening ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore, alongside Melissa Ow, Chief Executive, Singapore Tourism Board, and David Ruetz, Senior Vice President, Messe Berlin.

David Ruetz said that he is thrilled about the significant increase in international exhibitors. He says, “The ITB global brand family is making a strong case in 2023 as the travel industry resurges. Coming back to the live format in 2022, ITB Asia has established itself as a trendsetter for the entire branch.”

Focus on Destinations
ITB Asia features a diverse array of over 80 National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) and Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs). The exhibition’s key sponsors, such as Busan Tourism Organization, Japan National Tourism Organization, and Visit Finland, are at the forefront. Their support ensures the event will facilitate numerous collaborations among destinations, buyers, and service providers.

ITB Asia Conference – thousands of insightful minutes
Under the theme “Accelerating Growth: Paving the Way for New Opportunities in Travel & Tourism,” the ITB Asia Conference will serve as a hub for innovative ideas and networking. With over 160 speakers delivering 4,000 minutes of speeches across 100 sessions in 3 days, attendees will explore crucial topics in MICE, corporate travel, leisure travel, and travel technology. The conference’s opening keynotes will be given by James Liang, co-founder and executive chairman of the board of the Trip.com Group, and Hermione Joye, sector lead for travel and vertical search in APAC for Google. MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia coexist with the Knowledge Theatre conference track.

Startup exhibitors will have the exciting opportunity to present their innovations to the expert audience in the Startup Arena located within the Travel Tech Asia Hall.
