    The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) achieved remarkable success at Routes Asia 2024, winning both the Overall Winner and Destination awards. These accolades highlight JNTO’s exceptional tourism marketing efforts on a global scale. The awards were part of a select group of five honors presented at the event, which recognizes outstanding contributions in airport and destination marketing. The ceremony, held in Langkawi, Malaysia, also honored Clark International Airport, Perth Airport, Melbourne Airport, and Cebu Pacific for their achievements.

    “Japan’s aviation success unfolds through strategic codeshared flights, inventive incentives, and collaborative campaigns,” JNTO Director Akira Watabe said following the award win. “With soaring reservations and passenger recovery, our innovation shapes a resilient future.”
