The Sultanate of Oman will unveil its theme, “Beauty Has An Address,” at ITB Berlin 2024 with a press conference and opening ceremony on March 4th, emphasizing its role as the host country.
Under the theme “Beauty Has An Address,” Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism will present its rich tourist and cultural offerings at ITB Berlin, the premier global travel trade fair, from March 5th to 7th, 2024. Located in the southeastern Arabian Peninsula, Oman boasts a 5,000-year-old history and a variety of attractions. The event will feature a diverse range of events and activities alongside its substantial exhibition.
The grand unveiling will be led by H.E. Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Oman’s Minister of Heritage & Tourism, with a press conference by His Excellency Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, the Undersecretary for Tourism, at 10 a.m. at CityCube Berlin, followed by the opening ceremony at 6 p.m. at the same venue.
The opening ceremony, themed “Beauty Has an Address,” will showcase Oman’s diverse landscape, traditions, and cultural heritage, and introduce “Vision 2024,” outlining the Sultanate’s goals for sustainable tourism and global recognition. The evening will feature performances by Omani artists and folklore groups, as well as the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, followed by an 8 p.m. reception at CityCube Berlin with Omani cuisine.
Throughout ITB Berlin, from March 5th to 7th, the Sultanate of Oman will have a prominent presence with an 800-square-meter booth in Hall 2.2, stand 201, and Hall 4.1, stand 200, where visitors can explore Omani Culinary Arts at stand 205.
The official tour, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony, will begin on the first day of the show at the Omani stand in Hall 2.2. Oman will also participate in segments focusing on youth travel, economy accommodation, adventure travel, and responsible tourism, with panel discussions on achieving NetZero in tourism and exploring adventure tourism in Oman with local DMCs.
Special events include the ITB MICE NIGHT on March 5th at NIO House Berlin and the ITB Blogger Base on March 6th, highlighting Omani hospitality. Additionally, the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Berlin Philharmonie on March 6th, blending classical music with traditional Omani compositions.
As part of the ITB Berlin Convention, Oman will join discussions on reshaping visitor experiences and the influence of gastronomy on community empowerment, offering valuable insights from the Sultanate.
