Moncton is reviewing the viability of containing a convention-center space in a private improvement
downtown.
City council polled at an exclusive meeting for conferring an agreement valued at $60,000 to CBRE
Ltd. for the review. It will inspect the option of counting in convention center space which the council motion calls the ‘Ashford Development.’
The mention presents a proposal of what might be intended by the Ashford Group. The business possesses part of Moncton’s downtown, which is principally enclosed by surface parking lots that the city wisehs to get improved.
Jocelyn Cohoon, the temporary general manager of community services in the city said that they are doing their due persistence to decide what the viability for a prospective convention center is as part of any kind of progress that might happen there.
An official of Ashford specified in February that it might disclose its strategies for a first stage this spring.
However, till now, nothing has been declared.
Jim Dixon, a principal with the business, said that the convention center study is one of the causes it has thus far to finish the strategy of the first stage of its strategic growth.
Dixon said that the firm is working with the city for considering prospective convention space and moving
the market.
