ITB Berlin 2024: Remarkable Booking Rates Ahead of Opening

Impressive booking levels are being reported just weeks before ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade fair, opens its doors, with nearly 90% of the exhibition space already booked. The Greek presence at the fair is noteworthy, with over 170 exhibitors confirmed.

As the event approaches, ITB Berlin is experiencing remarkable booking rates, indicating a high level of interest and participation. The fair is set to showcase a diverse array of participants, including a significant increase in exhibitors from Oman, the host country, as well as other Arab nations, Turkey, Greece, Asia, Africa, and sectors like mobility, technology, and cruise, highlighting its global significance.

The fair will feature returning participants such as Emirates Airline and Liechtenstein, as well as new entrants like Disney, Sao Tome and Principe, and Air India. Following renovations, visitors can enjoy a full tour of the venue, with new attractions like the German-speaking countries’ showcase in hub27, the debut of the ITB MICE HUB inHall Room 8.2 and the ITB Sustainability Lounge in Hall 4.1.

With ITB Berlin scheduled for March 5 to 7, 2024, the outlook is extremely positive. The event, themed #ITBTOGETHER, promises an integrated B2B platform representing the entire tourism value chain.To date, exhibitors from 165 countries and regions have confirmed their participation across 27 venues, including the Marshall Haus and the Palais am Funkturm, which now accommodates the ITB. The addition of five rooms allows for a comprehensive tour of the space. Room 8.2 will focus on cultural tourism, alongside the business travel and MICE sectors. Rooms 10.2 and 11.2 will mainly cater to Eastern Europe and the former CIS countries, while Room 10.1 will provide more space for the growing travel technology sector. Hall 18, which has reopened, will feature exhibitors from the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, the Baltic countries, and Ukraine.

ITB Berlin 2024 is shaping up to be more international than ever, with a significant increase in the number of Greek exhibitors. Over 170 Greek exhibitors will participate, occupying more than 1,000 square meters in Hall 1.1, including many individual companies.

Representatives from around the world will also be present. Exhibitors from Cyprus and Albania will participate in Hall 1.1, while Italy, with numerous co-exhibitors, as well as Malta, Croatia, Kosovo, and Bosnia, will be represented in Hall 1.2. The Spanish tourism industry will have a strong presence in Hall 2.1.

Many exhibitors have expanded the size of their stands compared to 2023, including the Balearic Islands and the Costa del Sol. Ibiza will have its own stand this year, and Turkey will have a special presence in a significantly larger space in Hall 3.2, where Bulgaria will also be represented.
