Next week, Tanzania’s Zanzibar is organizing a travel display, which has the objective of boosting eco-tourism, said a tourism representative.
The Zanzibar Tourism Investment and Travel Exhibition (ZTITE) 2023 would be held from Feb 9 till 11. The theme this year is “Greener Zanzibar,” according to Rahim Bhaloo. He is the chairperson of the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism, which is in charge of this exhibition.
Bhaloo said that the exhibition is gearing up in full speed. The event would be inaugurated by Tanzania’s Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi. Mnazimmoja grounds on Unguja Island comprise the venue for this event.
This event going on for three days will encompass a travel buyers’ lounge, workshops and a tourism investment forum along with panel discussions.
Bhaloo said that ZTITE this year would target upholding eco-tourism by successfully dealing and preserving Zanzibar’s cultural, ecological and historical assets.
He said that this year’s theme promotes tourism that contains tactical investments, sustainable business practices and accountable travel picks.
Bhaloo said that Zanzibar is one of the most sought after spots in the entire world with a lot of travel choices for growth across the tourism value chain.
He added that the prospect of Zanzibar’s tourism sector can be found in the investment in its people and its natural environs. Zanzibar has a rich legacy with a bounty of flora and fauna, and is a perfect place for various categories of tourism.
