InterLnkd, a UK-based startup focused on increasing online ancillary revenue for travel brands by connecting bookings with fashion and beauty retailers, emerged victorious in this year’s WTM Start-Up Pitch Battle, held in partnership with Amadeus.
The competition featured eight startups, each given three minutes to pitch their innovative ideas, followed by a three-minute Q&A session.
InterLnkd, which recently secured £1 million in seed funding, is already working with prominent travel companies and is gaining recognition for providing an effective ancillary revenue stream. During the Q&A, InterLnkd’s CEO, Barry Klipp, shared that one of its clients has rated the startup as its best-ever ancillary revenue source.
Winning this pitch battle is a significant validation of InterLnkd’s accomplishments. Klipp expressed excitement about exploring growth opportunities with Amadeus and expanding their offerings globally. The startup’s success has the potential to create a new revenue stream for the travel industry, setting it apart as a differentiator and offering a unique value proposition. The judging panel was impressed by InterLnkd’s achievements, especially its ability to partner with 20,000 brands.
Juliette Losardo, Exhibition Director at WTM London, acknowledged the importance of supporting startups in the travel industry, and she anticipates InterLnkd’s continued growth as it joins the show floor at WTM London in 2024.
