Chris-McQue-200x300Former director at Capital Incentives and founder of Creative Direction & Motivation (CDM), Chris McQue is bringing his 29 years of experience in the sector to Worldwide Events.

His strong background includes motivation and performance improvement, communications, training, organising events, corporate hospitality and much more across a range of industries, including financial services, automotive, energy and commercial. In 2006 he started CDM, creating successful events and strategies for HBOS, Churchill Insurance, Nissan, Chevron and Johnson Services, among others.
Chris joins Worldwide Events as Director of Buyer Relations, looking at all elements of the hosted buyer experience at M&I Forums to ensure that they remain at the pinnacle of the industry. His role is to continue to enhance every element of the buyer experience at each of the Forums operated by Worldwide Events, and overseeing the continuing development of the groundbreaking Memberzone online portal.
Says Chris: “After going solo for the last few years, I really am excited to be joining such a young, cosmopolitan, enterprising and technologically savvy business as Worldwide Events, bringing my years of MICE experience back into the mainstream. Driving business between key partners in what is essentially an entrepreneurial industry requires free-market thinking that is in touch with the underlying brand communication and performance-improvement disciplines in which I have worked throughout my career.”
Richard Barnes, MD of Worldwide Events, commented: “We’re delighted to have such a well-regarded professional as part of the senior team as we continue to expand and progress our market-leading B2B Forums and events.”

Worldwide Events operates nine Forums per year, attended by over 1,500 hosted buyers and 1,000 suppliers. Over 40,000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings take place at the Meeting & Incentive Forums and PRIVATE Forums annually.

Continues Chris: “I joined Worldwide Events at an opportune time, starting with the largest-ever European M&I Forum in Istanbul when over 10,000 carefully matched meetings took place between hotels, venues, DMCs, NTOs and key MICE buyers, impeccably managed by our team in one of the fastest-developing destinations of the moment.”

Chris’s consultancy CDM will continue to handle a small number of ongoing projects in the multisport sector but will no longer manage end-to-end conference and incentive travel.
