The truth about wine, which was sought after in the organization of the GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre within the 56th International Wine Competition at Ljubljana Castle, is revealed. On the last weekend in June, 40 wine tasters from 11 countries under the lead of Iztok Klenar, president of the oldest and again revived wine competition in the world, evaluated 311 samples from 19 countries.
At today’s announcement of world champions, Mr. Gsilain K. Laflame, Canada, the delegate of OIV and VinoFed, the most renowned organizations for vine and wine, praised – in his words – the excellently organized event, resolved that Vino Ljubljana again becomes a member of the World Federation of Major International Wine competitions – VinoFed.
The award ceremony will be held on 3 September at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention centre, at the official opening of Wine Fair (4 – 6 September 2014), which will complement the event Vino Ljubljana and definitely liven up the first September days in the capital – the City of Vine and Wine. The wines with highest awards will be available from September on specially marked shelves in Tuš stores.
