Vietnam’s MICE industry set for giant leap Vietnam MICE EXPO 2025, a two-day event set to take place on September 26-27th, will be held at the National Convention Centre (NCC) in Hanoi. The largest of its kind in Vietnam, the event is forecast to draw more than 800 domestic and foreign companies and 1,500 participants. The expo is themed “Heritage & Technology in the New Era” to showcase how the convergence of Vietnam’s cultural heritage and new technology powers the MICE industry forward.

MICE EXPO 2025: Connecting Heritage and Technology

VIETNAM MICE EXPO 2025 will focus on the intersection of heritage and technology, delivering an exclusive avenue for businesses to discover how these elements can converge to elevate the MICE experience. The theme “Heritage & Technology—the New Era” is tantamount to the current renovation in the country, which is aimed at promoting values of culture through artisanal and technological solutions for the sustainable growth of the local craft. Nguyen Duc Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam MICE Tourism Chapter, said that this year’s VIBT is not only a festival to display technology but also an event to bring many experiences imbued with the country’s cultural identity.

The strategic direction of the show demonstrates how Vietnam’s heritage—in its architecture and way of life, its traditional culture, performing arts, crafts, and cuisine—can be utilised for the creation of original MICE offerings. At the same time, technology will play a role in aiding us to better manage events—to be more efficient, engaging, and more inclusive. In Anh’s opinion, this duality is vital in the current globalised reality of a world marked by the joint influence of cultural identity and technological innovation towards the future of business tourism.

Growing the MICE Ecosystem in Vietnam

Vietnam’s MICE industry has seen robust development, and a spotlight such as the MICE EXPO 2025 contributes to fuelling such a trend. The Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), the organiser, has been making serious efforts in boosting a professional MICE industry in the country. Vietnam possesses huge potential to be a leading MICE destination, in which the Southeast Asian region and the ASEAN market in particular are key, remarked Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Standing Vice Chairwoman of VITA. During the expo, partners from the tourism, technology, and events sectors will meet to create synergies and support regional development.

6th MICE EXPO 2025 Lan requested local travel agencies, hotels, and other sectors to join hands for the success of MICE EXPO 2025. The expo is not just a networking opportunity for enterprises but an event that is set to create opportunities in home and international cooperation. The incentive travel workshops are a way of bringing Vietnam’s incentive entrepreneurship to the fore, enabling it to stand out in the international-scale market as a corporate event and meeting destination.

Key Activities and Focus Areas at MICE EXPO 2025

Key Speakers and Participants

Vietnam MICE EXPO 2025 is to have a wide range of accompanying events that are also aimed at promoting creativity, exchanging, and connecting MICE in the area. The activities of the event will revolve around three pillars, namely:

Positioning of Cultural Identity: The expo can demonstrate the applicability of tangible and intangible cultural heritage as an off-the-beaten-track MICE experience. This includes capitalising on Vietnam’s rich culture, traditional culture, and community values, as well as indigenous skills and workmanship experiences, as one of the MICE products. The aim is to provide not mere corporate gatherings but cultural experiences that resonate with international guests, enabling them to truly feel and encounter Vietnam.

Piloting Tech Revolution: Another key aspect of the show is the adoption of digital solutions within MICE. Set in an era of digital and AI, the event will demonstrate how technology is revolutionising event experiences. This comprises the growing utilisation of event-related digital solutions, multimedia networking, and data-based optimisation of planning and implementation of events.

Global Connections: The event will witness a reinforcement of global connections, as it will host as many as 1500+ domestic buyers and 50+ international MICE buyers. Among these are international tourist boards and world venue organisers. The expo aims to showcase Vietnam’s MICE industry to the world and prove it an attractive destination for conferences, exhibitions, and incentive travel in the region.

The Vietnam MICE EXPO 2025 will feature influential figures from across the MICE and tourism sectors. Key participants include:

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the expertise of these leaders and other keynote speakers and panellists as they cover subjects from sustainable travel to technology in event planning. Their insights will serve as a great resource in helping Vietnam’s MICE industry to stay on track in growing and develop further in the time ahead.

A Spotlight on Hanoi as a MICE Hub

Michele Hunziker—the 2019 show host—was sporting the latest festival fashion, which included a pair of shades, trousers, and a steampunk coat, at the Ravello Festival gala dinner. Hanoi, as the nation’s capital, has plenty of conference halls, event centres, and places to stay, making this a great place for an international event. The infrastructure of the city has improved constantly, with more and more hotels and convention centres capable of dealing with large events. Kieu Viet emphasised that the Hanoi Department of Tourism considers MICE as the core tourism product that should bring benefits to the local economy and help improve the quality of the tourism product in practice.

Success of Vietnam MICE EXPO 2025 is expected to be a driving factor in the rise of MICE tourists and tourism in general in Hanoi. The event is one of many intended to promote tourism and encourage visitors to celebrate National Day in Hanoi in September and help the city become a destination for both domestic and international MICE tourism.

Conclusion

Vietnam MICE EXPO 2025 will be the landmark for Vietnam MICE and connectthe leading experts from the world. Operating with the theme of ‘Vietnam’s Heritages with High Tech for MICE,’ the expo promises to open up a new channel in the development of MICE tourism in the coming years.

In the development of Vietnam as a MICE destination, the country’s devotion to innovation, sustainability, and cultural depth will play a large part in driving its development moving forward. It enables business opportunities and encourages the success of MICE acts by delivering great value and local experience to this new generation of travellers and business groups, who seek unique and memorable MICE experiences that combine the traditional with innovative technology in one place.
