As a continuous promotion effort to the Indian market, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with 21 numbers of Indonesia tourism industries organized a sales mission to India. Held on 14th    of August in Kolkata, the event was mainly directed to promote different Indonesia destinations, especially those beyond Bali destinations where plenty of tourism attractions can be enjoyed.


India has been included the big top 10 visitor to Indonesia due to the one of the primary markets in term of increasing the number of foreign visits who come to Indonesia. Based on the foreign visits realization data of 2013, the number of India visits increased about 15.55% ; to 204,756 compared to 2012, 177,194 visits. The positive trend of the increasing India tourists can also be seen in January-April 2014 period where India tourists are numbered 72,056, an increase of 14.48% compared to the same period last year.
