Tourism New Zealand co-hosted a corporate evening in partnership with Cox and Kings Ltd. at the JW Marriott hotel in Bengaluru on the 27th of June, 2014, to highlight New Zealand as an incentive destination. About 20 Indian corporate travellers attended the event, including big names like MCF (Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Limited), BDCC, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC, ASHIRWAD PIPES PVT. LTD. and MICROLAB.
Ms. Sushila Shinde, GM National Sales Coordinator, initiated the session by welcoming all the corporates then introducing Neha Bhola, Country Manager – India, Tourism New Zealand and Hayden Rodrick, Technical Advisor, Immigration New Zealand/Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.
The session focused on the growing trend of incentive travel among Indian corporates and New Zealand’s emergence as one of the preferred destinations for this purpose. Neha Bhola made a presentation highlighting the New Zealand attractions that are best suited for the MICE segment.
The presentation was followed by a Q&A session on New Zealand as a destination, with special giveaways to the winners. The bumper prize was a three night stay in Auckland for a couple sponsored by Cox and Kings.
Tourism New Zealand and Cox and Kings will be hosting a similar event in New Delhi in the month of August.
