The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has introduced “Thai Mice Connect”, a one-stop service e-market which is aimed at broadening business opportunities for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE) abroad. Thai Mice Connect is scheduled to be launch on Oct 15.
The platform will be an intensive e-Mice marketplace for hotels, travel companies and other tourism service operators to showcase their services as per Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, TCEB president. The platform will feature 16 main categories such as conventions, hotels, shopping places, attractions, catering services, associations and logistics.
A database of some 10,000 operators in the central, northeastern and southern provinces will be featured in the first phase of the programme, by this September. The programme will extend to cover operators in the northern and eastern regions next fiscal year.
TCEB expects the platform will help increase Thai Mice business by around 6 per cent – 8 per cent this year.
Mr Chiruit said Thai Mice Connect opens up trade opportunities for companies regardless of size because they can all list on the platform. Activities on this platform will be used to assess the performance of Mice business in each part of the country and offer appropriate solutions for them.
