To accelerate the MICE industry’s recovery, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and the Bureau of Foreign Trade will join forces to take professionals from the industry to attend IMEX Frankfurt on May 23-25, expecting to bolster up the return of business tourism.

According to the IMEX press, given that the overall Asian market is booming, the demand for global conferences has thus been raised significantly. It is expected that this buying force will be reflected in the deals of IMEX Frankfurt 2023.

This year, IMEX is welcoming many professional MICE organizations, NTOs, travel agencies and international hotel groups; and many new service offerings and exchanges relating to the latest MICE updates will be introduced on the show floor.

IMEX Frankfurt—the most important international exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events—attracts about 15,000 professionals from over 160 countries each year.

As a trend, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) has become a principal indicator for company sustainability evaluation since the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015.

The Taiwan Pavilion at IMEX 2023 will minimize its resource consumption by cutting down on all single-use products, using rented furniture, and lessening paper usage.

Not only to reduce waste, but also to show the Taiwan MICE industry’s commitment to sustainable practices.

After IMEX 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau and the Bureau of Foreign Trade have partnered up and are ready to continue promoting Taiwan’s MICE image in full steam this May.

The Taiwan Pavilion will be embellished with uniquely featured local photos of Taiwan to show Taiwan’s rich and diverse tourism offerings.

During the 3-day exhibition, the Taiwan Pavilion will be offering a sugar painting performance, a taste of Taiwanese cocktails and freshly made traditional wheel cakes to offer a sampling of the amazing Taiwan experience to the exhibition attendees.

Additional carefully selected Taiwanese snacks and tea will also be served at the information desk.

What’s more, the Taiwan Pavilion will also hold several group appointments to showcase Taiwan’s rich and diverse tourism offerings and its excellent conference facilities.

This year, the Taiwan Pavilion has successfully recruited 12 of the best companies from all sectors of the economy, joining together in a delegation designed to attract more incentive tour buyers and international associations to Taiwan, expected to boost the growth of Taiwan MICE industry.
