Philadelphia experienced a remarkable surge in tourism during the summer of 2024, achieving record-breaking visitor numbers. This boom was fueled by a series of significant events, conventions, and the introduction of new direct international flight routes. The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) reported a notable increase in visitors from late May to early September, attributing the rise to expanded convention activities and a growth in international tourists, thanks to new direct flights at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
