The first-ever ICAO Symposium on Accessibility in International Civil Aviation took place in Montreal, Canada, from December 2 to 3, 2024.

 The 2024 Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN2024), organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), recently wrapped up in Kuala Lumpur, finalizing around 500 air service agreements. Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport hosted this significant gathering from October 21 to 25, 2024, marking ICAN’s much-anticipated return to Asia after a seven-year hiatus.

As global air traffic returns to pre-pandemic levels, Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), which represents 617 airports across 46 countries and territories, is emphasizing the need for economic sustainability and financial resilience to support infrastructure development in the region’s rapidly growing air transport sector.
