The summer period is the most important time of the year when it comes to tourism in Island Park. The
warm luminous climate attracts people to visit and discover the high hills of Fremont County and Island
Park.

Mike Wilson, the President of the Yellowstone Teton Territory Tourism Board said that they are beginning to witness a positive drift in the mounting way. However, it is still not what it was in the last few years.

Wilson said that people in Island Park are confident with the present position of gas rates. Nevertheless,
the region is still struggling from the significances of what took place last year with the flooding of
Yellowstone. Wilson said that he thinks that they are still a slight down. He said that a lot of travelers in the previous three years adhered to the post-COVID holidays, and now they’re returning to the larger cities, the Disney Worlds, among other things.

Richard Turpin, the General Manager of the Sawtelle Mountain Resort said that he hopes that things might get better, and he is quite confident that it will.

However, at present, it does make him a bit anxious. Turpin and Wilson said that the late entrance of
summer weather might have created problems as well. Nevertheless, things are appearing better for the
Independence Day break.
