As part of determinations to explore strategic prospects to fast-track the retrieval of the tourism segment, South African Tourism declared that it will showcase at The Arabian Travel Market (ATM).
Presently, SA Tourism operates under a temporary board after its board was dissolved owing to the planned R1-billion Tottenham Hotspur football club funding disaster.
ATM is in its 30th year at the moment, and is a stage that it gathers worldwide tourism decision-makers, business professionals and thought frontrunners to reveal the potential of the division.
The trade display will be happening at the Dubai World Trade Center from May 1 to 4.
Zinhle Nzama, the interim principal convention bureau officer at SA Tourism opined that South Africa’s attendance at the ATM is a notable breakthrough in South Africa’s expedition toward financial renewal and rebound of tourism.
Nzama said that taking part at this international trade event is a wonderful opportunity that cannot be wasted.
It was indeed important for them to come back to ATM another time since last year brought in a massive achievement for all attending exhibitors, ultimately, providing a huge win for South Africa’s tourism division.
Nzama added that last year, the South African delegation came back with more than 37 leads, a majority of which were adapted to business.
