Tourism Seychelles is set to kick off its first major marketing campaign of the year in Turkey with a special destination workshop scheduled for Friday, January 24, at the luxurious Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul, under the auspices of the United Nations Development Program.
This endeavor is a key element of Seychelles’ strategy to bolster its market presence in burgeoning regions such as Turkey, building robust partnerships with essential trade and media figures to boost awareness of the destination.
Leading the team to Istanbul will be Mrs. Sherin Francis, the Principal Secretary for the Seychelles Tourism Department, along with Mrs. Amia Jovanovic-Desir, the market manager for Turkey. They will be joined by members from the Seychelles Small Hotels & Establishments Association (SSHEA), the Seychelles Hospitality & Tourism Association (SHTA), and Constance Hotels and Resorts.
At the heart of the mission is a workshop aimed at introducing Turkish travel agents and tour operators to the idyllic offerings of Seychelles, famously known as an untouched gem of the Indian Ocean. The workshop, aptly named “Seychelles: Your Paradise, Now Closer Than Ever,” will provide a stage for Tourism Seychelles and its partners to present what the destination has to offer, emphasizing bespoke services and local enterprises catering to Turkish tourists.
Participants will be treated to a captivating presentation that highlights the distinct allure of Seychelles as a premier travel spot, focusing on the streamlined travel process made possible through direct flights by Turkish Airlines. With contributions from SSHEA, SHTA, and Constance Hotels and Resorts, attendees will delve into a variety of accommodation options, sustainable practices, and cultural encounters that make Seychelles a compelling destination for holidaymakers.
An estimated 40 tour operators are anticipated to attend, acquiring fresh insights into the dynamic tourism scene of Seychelles.
Additionally, Tourism Seychelles will conduct a media-specific event aimed at Turkish journalists, influencers, and broadcasters to deepen their familiarity with the destination and its thriving tourism sector. This initiative seeks to amplify Seychelles’ profile in Turkey, promoting extensive media coverage and reinforcing its market position.
Tourism Seychelles remains committed as the primary promotional body for the Seychelles Islands, continuously showcasing its pristine natural beauty, rich cultural background, and luxurious travel experiences, thereby affirming its status as a top global travel choice.
