The next phase of the Bayonne Bridge Navigational Clearance Project requires the closure of the Richmond Terrace/Trantor Place ramps that connect the Bayonne Bridge to local Staten Island streets.
These ramp closures will begin Monday, November 4, and will remain in-place through the duration of construction.
Motorists who normally use the Richmond Terrace/Trantor Place on-ramp to access the Bayonne Bridge will now take Port Richmond Avenue south to Trantor Place to access the Forest Avenue on-ramp, which leads to the bridge.
Motorists traveling north on Route 440 who normally exit Route 440 using Exit 13-Richmond Terrace/Trantor Place will now use Exit 12-Forest Ave and Willow Road east to Trantor Place. Exit 12-Forest Avenue is the last exit in Staten Island before the bridge.
