Dallas-logo (1)In celebration of its 5th anniversary, ARTsPARK will be expanded to a two-day event on April 4 – 5, 2014 to give more people the opportunity to learn about the wonderful arts opportunities in the Dallas/Fort Worth region.

 

ARTsPARK kicks off the 2nd annual Dallas Arts Week, April 4-14, presented by Mayor Mike Rawlins and the city of Dallas.

ARTsPARK After Dark / NEW!

Friday, April 4, 2014, 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm (TICKETED EVENT)

New this year, ARTsPARK After Dark is a social evening of entertainment and interactive arts activities designed to encourage financial and volunteer support for ARTsPARK and the participating arts organizations.

Come enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat while supporting the local arts community. Expand your social circle and immerse yourself in an artistic experience with friends. Tickets are $25.00 and available for purchase at:

ARTsPARK Community Info Fair

Saturday, April 5, 2014, 12:00 – 4:00 pm (FREE)

The annual, FREE, one-day event features arts and cultural organizations from across North Texas coming together to encourage citizens to make art a part of their everyday lives. There will be opportunities to learn a new creative skill, hone a talent, join a like-minded group, volunteer for a favorite art form and explore what makes North Texas a great place to live. Special live performances, programs and demonstrations will take place throughout the one-day event.

Participants: Art & Seek, AT&T Performing Arts Center, City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, The Craft Guild of Dallas, The Creative Arts Center of Dallas, The Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Area Fiber Artists, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Children’s Theater, Dallas Historical Society, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Summer Musicals, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Nasher Sculpture Center, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, Southwestern Watercolor Society, SPARK!, Texas Sculpture Association, Texas Visual Arts Association, The Dallas Zoo, WRR Classical 101.1 FM, and more.
