The registrations are now open for the annual conference organised by Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) in Marlborough, marking New Zealand’s first-ever Business Events Week, starting on 18th September.

Themed ‘Experience Extraordinary,’ the event promises three inspiring days of engaging speakers, panel discussions, and workshops to be held at ASB Theatre and Marlborough Convention Centre in Blenheim. BEIA Chief Executive, Lisa Hopkins, highlighted the conference’s focus on elevating discussions about the impact of business events on the economy, society, culture, and environment.

The conference will feature renowned international keynote speakers, Senthil Gopinath and Martin Sirk, supported by Tourism New Zealand. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, and Martin Sirk, a leading meetings industry expert, will share insights on the social and economic implications of business events.

In addition to thought-provoking discussions, the conference will host New Zealand economist Cameron Bagrie and leaders from the country’s tourism, hospitality, event, and hotel industry associations for panel discussions and sector updates.

Delegates can look forward to experiencing Marlborough’s beauty through boat rides, wine tastings, nature walks, and wildlife explorations. Pre and post-conference, attendees can also enjoy the picturesque Coastal Pacific train journey between Christchurch and Blenheim, with the option of adding a stopover in Kaikōura, along with a special accommodation package at the new Sudima Kaikōura.

The conference aims to be a showcase for Marlborough while emphasizing valuable content and encouraging meaningful discussions on the business events industry’s future. The event concludes on 20th September with a dinner at Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre, providing an enriching and memorable experience for all participants.
