The Mississippi Gulf Coast Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has new direction today. The CVB’s Director of Sales Crystal Johnson was named “Acting Manager” yesterday afternoon after Beth Carriere’s resignation was approved during a special commission meeting held at the CVB offices in Biloxi.
Johnson has been with the CVB for 19 years and will serve as Acting Manager until a replacement for Executive Director is found.
“I am honored and excited that our commission has the confidence in me to do this job,” said Johnson. “We have a lot of great things planned for tourism in the coming months.”
A committee was created yesterday to carry out the search efforts and hiring of a new executive director. Currently, the timeline is unknown for the search to be completed.
