Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has published its Meetings OutlookTM, 2015 Winter Edition. The newest installment of the quarterly special report indicates business is up and getting healthier. Though, the rising global seller’s market will continue to task meeting professionals suffering from shorter lead times and budgets that aren’t keeping pace with costs.
Key findings include the following:
– 70 percent of meeting professionals expect overall business conditions to improve in the near future.
– 49 percent of respondents anticipate a business decrease in the government meetings segment.
– 41 percent of respondents see a positive future for the domestic corporate segment.
– Projections for live attendance numbers have been on the rise approximately 5 percent each quarter since Q2 2014.
Meetings Outlook is now developed in partnership with VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, and is supported in partnership with the IMEX Group.
DETAILS: Meetings Outlook presents future industry trends and predictions from MPI members, including meeting professionals on MPI’s Business Research Panel. Every quarter, research firm Association Insights surveys the panel, asking a short series of quantitative questions related to the economy and a qualitative question regarding the individual’s professional outlook. Phone interviews are also conducted with randomly selected MPI members. The report provides a quarterly tracking of current business conditions and future outlooks.
