Published on : Thursday, January 23, 2014

ME-WA-ConferenceThe transformation of Western Australia’s mining sector will take centre stage in May 2014 following the partnership of REEDMININGEVENTS with Resourceful Events to deliver a two-day mining productivity conference alongside the Mining and Engineering WA (M&E WA) Exhibition at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The 2014 M&E WA Conference “Mine production optimization & operational efficiencies” will focus on how current producing mines in WA are assessing and refining mining processes for reducing operating costs and increasing productivity in their operations.

Paul Baker, Director of REEDMININGEVENTS said the newly launched conference component of M&E WA will add another significant opportunity for WA mining companies to learn how to improve their businesses.

“The exhibition has been designed to showcase the latest innovation and operational solutions from the METS sector, whilst the conference will generate information sharing, debate and discussion on best practices through the presentation of a variety of case studies. M&E WA will be an essential networking and knowledge sharing opportunity for leaders and senior managers from the WA mining sector,” Baker said.

“With the sector currently focused on low-cost productivity strategies and improving operational efficiency the timing of M&E WA is ideal. The conference component of M&E WA will be held on 6 & 7 May 2014, alongside the exhibition”.

“Speakers presenting industry keynotes and case studies at the conference are from organisations including Atlas Iron, Anglogold Ashanti, Gold Fields Australia, The WA Department of Mines and Petroleum, CRCMining, Saracen Mineral Holdings, Western Areas, The Association of Mining & Exploration Companies, Barrick Gold, Ramelius Resources, Curtin University, and Fortescue Metals Group”.

“REEDMININGEVENTS is excited to be partnering with Resourceful Events and look forward to delivering an industry event for Western Australia which matches the requirements of the mining and engineering sectors,” Baker said.

“REEDMININGEVENTS has a record of successfully delivering mining events not only in WA but throughout Australia including the Queensland Mining & Engineering (QME) Exhibition and the internationally acclaimed Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX). We’re looking forward to bringing the benefits and opportunities that arise from participating at our events to the WA mining sector for this second edition of M&E WA.”

Registrations for the Mining & Engineering WA Exhibition and Conference are open, with early bird rates for the conference available until the end of February.
