MCCA appointed Dante Angelucci, Jr as deputy Deputy Director, development and construction

MCCA-300x243The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) announced the hiring of Dante Angelucci, Jr. as the Authority’s new Deputy Director of Development and Construction.

 

In his role, Angelucci will be responsible for leading and overseeing the 1.3 million-square-foot expansion of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center and related projects including the development of two new parking garages. Angelucci will oversee the MCCA’s Capital Projects team, as well as consultants, designers and construction contractors who will be brought on to assist with the planning and execution of the expansion program.

Prior to joining the MCCA, Angelucci served as a senior vice president and partner at Leggat McCall Properties, LLC where he was a member of the acquisitions committee, as well as responsible for business development and client relationships. His experience also includes senior-level positions with Colliers Meredith & Grew, Inc., Cathartes Private Investments, and Fidelity Investments. Additionally, Angelucci served as Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex and Norfolk County District Attorney’s Offices. Throughout his career, Angelucci has managed over 20 major development projects with a combine value of over $1 billion. His major projects include the 4.5 million-square-foot Westwood Station development, the 429 unit Atmark Apartments in Cambridge, The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center in Holyoke, and a one million square-foot mixed-use facility at 100 Cambridge Street in Boston.

Howard Davis, who for the past five years has overseen the BCEC expansion project initiative, will continue to be involved as a strategic advisor to Executive Director James Rooney regarding the expansion project and related hotel projects.
