The Marine Hotel Association’s (MHA) 40th anniversary conference and trade show wrapped up on March 29, 2025, marking a memorable milestone for the not-for-profit organization.

Held at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida, the event brought together vendors, cruise line food and beverage experts, procurement professionals, and supply chain executives for a celebration of industry advancements and future opportunities.

Over three days, from March 27 to 29, attendees participated in a range of sessions and networking events focused on the latest trends and challenges in the cruise line sector, particularly in food and beverage procurement. The event not only commemorated the Marine Hotel Association’s (MHA) 40-year legacy but also facilitated valuable networking and knowledge-sharing among professionals in the cruise industry.

Opening Day: Drone Show and Charity Auction

The event kicked off on Thursday evening with an unforgettable reception, highlighted by a stunning drone light show featuring over 100 drones. Set to music, the display dazzled attendees while marking MHA’s 40 years of service to the cruise industry.

Friday began with a breakfast featuring chef stations from various cruise lines, giving attendees the opportunity to sample culinary delights while networking. The trade show followed, where industry leaders presented the latest food and beverage innovations. The evening continued with a Yacht Rock-themed dinner, further celebrating MHA’s milestone anniversary.

A standout moment of the event was the charity auction, which raised around $20,000 for the MHA scholarship program. Auction items included cruises, resort stays, and exclusive jewelry, generously donated by MHA member companies. The funds raised directly support scholarships for students pursuing careers in hospitality and cruise management.

Industry Trends and Insights from the Panel Discussion

On Saturday, the event featured a thought-provoking panel discussion that delved into the latest trends in the cruise industry. Topics included the role of artificial intelligence in hospitality, food purchasing predictions, and evolving supply chain strategies. Executives from both cruise lines and suppliers shared their insights, addressing current challenges in the sector.

The trade show on Saturday was sold out, with a waitlist for exhibitors, underscoring the high demand for connections within the cruise line and hospitality industries. This year’s conference solidified MHA’s position as a central hub for connecting suppliers, vendors, and cruise line executives.

Looking Ahead: MHA’s Future Plans

The event wrapped up on Saturday evening with a final dinner, during which MHA members reflected on the association’s 40-year history and looked ahead to future endeavors. MHA announced plans for a Symposium at Sea later this year and confirmed that the 41st edition of the conference and trade show will return to Naples in March 2026.
