Korean Air Debuts New Seoul Incheon–Kobe Route, Expanding Its Footprint in Japan
Korean Air has inaugurated a brand-new route linking Seoul Incheon International Airport with Kobe Airport, marking a major milestone in the airline’s international expansion. Launched on April 18, 2025, this route establishes Korean Air as the first national carrier from South Korea to operate direct flights between these two cities.
The service runs with two round-trip flights daily, offering travelers enhanced scheduling flexibility. The morning flight, KE731, leaves Seoul at 8:25 a.m. and arrives in Kobe at 10:00 a.m., with the return flight, KE732, departing Kobe at 11:00 a.m. and reaching Seoul at 1:00 p.m. In the afternoon, KE733 takes off from Seoul at 3:50 p.m. and lands in Kobe at 5:30 p.m., followed by KE734 departing Kobe at 6:30 p.m. and arriving back in Seoul at 8:40 p.m.
These flights are operated using Korean Air’s state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo, equipped with 182 seats—8 in Prestige Class and 174 in Economy—offering both comfort and efficiency for the roughly two-hour journey.
To celebrate the launch, special ceremonies were held simultaneously at both airports, symbolizing the significance of this new link. With growing interest in travel between Korea and Japan, the new Kobe route not only boosts Korean Air’s presence in the Kansai region but also offers travelers greater convenience and more choices.
This latest expansion reflects Korean Air’s commitment to strengthening its regional network and improving accessibility for passengers traveling between South Korea and Japan.
