Klook’s Travel Fest Marks a Major Hit with Over 10,000 Participants in Sydney

Klook, a leading travel service provider, celebrated the premiere of its Klook Travel Fest at Sydney’s Carriageworks on November 30, 2024. This groundbreaking event drew in more than 10,000 participants and featured a slew of unique travel deals, captivating prizes, and interactive discussions with renowned experts and influencers such as Kat, Deja Clark, and Sofia Ligeros. TV star Faustina ‘Fuzzy’ Agolley hosted the event, marking Klook’s first major in-person engagement with consumers in Australia, incorporating a mix of nostalgia, game-based activities, and travel enthusiasm.

A Retro Gaming-Themed Travel Expo The Klook Travel Fest introduced a nostalgic twist to the conventional travel expo setup, embracing a 1990s video game theme. Visitors explored virtual worlds inspired by Minecraft that depicted well-known travel locales. Interactive adventures ranged from a dumpling toss challenge representing Hong Kong to alien-shooting tasks in a Nevada desert setup, vividly bringing travel fantasies to life.

Event-goers participated in numerous games and challenges to secure one of the hundreds of available prizes, which included trips to Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia. Diana Vidovic, Klook’s Director of Oceania Marketing, shared her excitement:

“The event was the culmination of months of hard work alongside our travel partners, and it was exhilarating to watch people of all ages engage with our interactive setups and claim their travel prizes. We handed out over 1,300 prizes and saw more than 8,300 travel deals snapped up through our app on the day alone.”
