The Juneau Assembly, in partnership with cruise line experts, will hold a special session to explore strategies and trends for the 2025 cruise tourism season, offering valuable insights for local residents.
The joint meeting, organized by the Juneau Assembly and various cruise line agencies, is scheduled for Thursday afternoon to discuss the upcoming cruise ship tourism season.
Set to begin at noon, the one-hour session will take place in the Assembly Chambers at City Hall. Industry experts, including representatives from Cruise Lines International Association Alaska, will be in attendance to provide their expertise.
This session will give Assembly members and cruise industry professionals the opportunity to ask and answer questions related to the cruise season, which officially kicked off last week.
Although the meeting is open to the public both in person and online, public testimony will not be accepted during the session. Alix Pierce, Juneau’s visitor industry director, highlighted that this meeting offers an excellent chance for residents to hear directly from industry insiders.
Residents interested in suggesting topics for discussion are encouraged to email the Assembly prior to the meeting. The session is intended solely for informational purposes, with no votes being taken. A similar meeting was held on Wednesday with the Ketchikan City Council.
