INCON, the international partnership of leading conference, event and destination management companies, has announced the addition of the The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau as preferred suppliers.
INCON continuously looks to develop strategic alliances with likeminded industry leaders and aims to strengthen these relationships through the INCON Preferred Supplier Program. Given the dynamics of the meetings marketplace, INCON partners are focused on establishing strong alliances that benefit clients.
Glasgow’s conferencing and events pedigree is strong: the city will host the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau has been voted the Best UK Convention Bureau for the last seven years running.
The SECC is a cutting edge conference venue with a highly skilled and friendly delivery team which has attracted many prestigious international conferences.
An exceptional event campus has been created which encompasses the SSE Hydro, a purpose built entertainment and conferencing arena and the Clyde Auditorium, both designed by world-renowned architects Foster + Partners.
The event campus further includes meeting rooms and exhibition space, three major hotels, restaurants and all that is needed for a successful event.
Inge Hanser, Co-Chair of INCON commented: “Glasgow is a premier international destination, their strength lies in their ability to mobilise every facet of the city to deliver top class events. We are confident that this addition to the group will open up opportunities for the INCON partnership and for Glasgow.”
