ICCA workshop on “keys to success in the meeting industry” at Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall, Thailand

ICCA-workshop-300x176International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) together with support from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) organized a 2-day workshop for MICE businesses across Thailand at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH).

 

 

From 3 – 4 July 2014 participants will learn and interact with each other for their future strategic planning, marketing and management of successful meetings. The workshop also features discussion on the relationship between associations and suppliers, bidding and engagement of destination, crisis management and business model for the industry, including group work in marketing. The highlight was the live streaming seminar with over 100 countries on “What do associations really think about the risks and rewards of outsourcing their events and what are the marketing implications for suppliers?” hosted by ICCA Amsterdam, Netherlands.

 

The 2 day workshop was intense with many insightful, interesting concepts and numerous useful case studies. Mr. Noor Ahmad Hamid and Mr. Juan Jose Garcia from the ICCA side began the workshop with an impactful introduction and they kept the delegates thoroughly engaged throughout the 2 days. Mr. Garcia, 1st VP of ICCA showed the attendees the importance of knowing your clients and how partnership can be the turning point in winning and losing. Mr. Hamid, Regional Director of Asia Pacific followed with teaching the delegates how to fully utilize the ICCA marketing tools and showed how beneficial the system is. The attendees were given further treats with detailed case studies showing why some bids were successful and others unsuccessful. Finally the delegates were arranged into groups in order to compete against each other in bidding for the next ICCA congress
