IAB Hong Kong Digital Awards 2024 Sets New Standards In Digital Marketing Excellence By Recognizing The Most Creative, Innovative, And Impactful Campaigns And AI Solutions Of The Year

The highly anticipated IAB Hong Kong Digital Awards 2024 came to a spectacular conclusion on March 18 at Hotel ICON, bringing together over 300 professionals from the digital marketing industry to honor outstanding achievements across Hong Kong. The event was attended by a diverse group, including digital marketers, brand representatives, agency experts, and industry leaders, who gathered to recognize innovative campaigns and advancements in marketing technology.

The coveted title of Best Digital Campaign of the Year was awarded to Bupa and DigiSalad for their groundbreaking “Together For Your Health & Connected Care Expo – Blua Health Mobile App” campaign, which featured a pioneering AI-driven approach. Their use of artificial intelligence impressed the judges, setting a new benchmark for digital marketing in Hong Kong.

In his opening remarks, Brian Hui, Chairman of IAB Hong Kong, encouraged attendees to “embrace AI and harness the power of digital to tap into new markets,” emphasizing that this approach is essential for thriving in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. The Guest of Honor, Tony Wong, Commissioner for Digital Policy, echoed this sentiment, stating that AI is no longer a luxury but a necessity, with widespread adoption across industries. He also highlighted the government’s ongoing investment in AI, promising continued support to help businesses leverage AI technologies more effectively in the future.

This year’s IAB Hong Kong Digital Awards introduced two fresh categories to reflect the evolving trends in the digital marketing world: Best Advocate of Social & Environmental Impact and Most Efficient Use of Budget Campaign. These additions bring the total number of categories to eight and underscore the growing importance of social responsibility and budget-conscious strategies. A record-breaking 74 brands submitted over 200 entries, each evaluated by a distinguished panel of 59 judges from various sectors, including brands, agencies, academia, and technology platforms. The submissions were assessed across four core criteria: Strategy, Execution, Innovation/Creativity, and Results.
