Immerse LDN, located in the vibrant waterfront area of Excel London, recently marked a major milestone as the Formula 1® Exhibition became its most successful and long-standing event, achieving an impressive 340,000 ticket sales. As the 2025 Formula 1® season launches this weekend, the event’s success further cements Immerse LDN’s status as a leading hub for immersive experiences, with over one million tickets sold across various exhibitions since its opening. Praised by 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill, the exhibition has earned widespread acclaim from fans, media, and celebrities alike. Due to overwhelming demand, it has been extended until March 2025, securing the title of Best Visitor Experience at the 2024 Access All Areas Awards.
Hosted by Luna Entertainment Group, the exhibition ran for 192 days and showcased a vast collection of exclusive Formula 1® championship vehicles, historical memorabilia, and notable contributions from renowned teams, spanning 36,000 sqft. The exhibit also featured a cutting-edge simulator, which drew 70,000 participants and achieved a stellar 4.6 out of 5-star rating on Google reviews. These remarkable achievements outpaced previous records set in Madrid, Vienna, and Toronto, surpassing Excel London’s own record of 314,000 tickets from Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
James Cassidy, President of FKP Scorpio Entertainment Ltd, said: “We’ve enjoyed an exceptional partnership with Immerse LDN, Excel and our producers Round Room Live, delivering record breaking shows and award-winning experiences. This exhibition’s success highlights London’s appetite for immersive entertainment, and we’re excited to continue our collaboration with the launch of Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition, opening on March 26.”
Isabella Dwyer, General Manager for The Formula 1® Exhibition, added: “London has been a landmark location for the Formula 1® Exhibition, attracting fans from across the UK and beyond. The incredible reception we’ve received here reflects the city’s passion for Formula 1 and immersive experiences.”
Damian Norman, Director of Immersive Entertainment & Events at Excel London, commented: “The success of the Formula 1® Exhibition reinforces Immerse LDN’s position as the UK’s premier immersive entertainment destination. With more than one million tickets sold and five immersive experiences set to run this summer, we’re proud to contribute to the cultural and economic growth of the Royal Docks.”
As the Formula 1® Exhibition wraps up, it will embark on its global tour, while making way for the highly anticipated Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition, which has already sold 65,000 tickets in advance. The spring lineup at Immerse LDN includes The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in London and the premiere of Elvis Evolution, with additional attractions coming soon. Situated along the waterfront of Excel London, Immerse LDN plays a vital role in the venue’s £350-million redevelopment plan, designed to attract 2.5 million visitors annually and enhance the cultural vitality of the area.
