Las Vegas will be celebrating El Grito! – The Mexican Independence Day with equal style and grandeur in true Vegas style from 12-16 September. Tourists from all over the world will gather to take part in this gaiety as Las Vegas lights-up during this celebration.
Enjoy world-class Mexican cuisine, dance to the rhythms of the hottest Latin music artists, revel in unmatched nightlife and enjoy outstanding comedians. Hundreds of food stands pop up offering traditional antojitos, Mexican candies, and punch or ponche, a drink made of fruits such as guayabas, sugarcane, raisins and apples, and has a delicious aroma! Restaurants throughout Vegas serve traditional Mexican dishes, such as Mole Poblano, Chiles en Nogada,Guacamole and chips.
On the eve of September 15, experience a colourful gathering of people dressed in traditional Mexican attire: men as Charros and women as China Poblanas. Enjoy Mariachis music bands and dancers to the delight of all present. You can even have a picture taken with a sombrero and atop a wooden horse are also there.
Be sure to experience the ‘Fiesta Las Vegas Latino Parade’, a celebration of the Mexican culture in downtown Las Vegas and enjoy an array of live entertainment, cultural booths, and music and Latino food offerings in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Spanning two days, the parade will take to the streets of downtown Las Vegas on Saturday, September 13th followed by the festival at Clark County Amphitheater on Sunday, September 14th.
