From November 13 to 15, Lausanne, Switzerland, Olympic capital, is the backdrop for City Events, a major event where cities seeking to welcome international sports events meet.
This conference gathers key players of international sports federations; events planners specialized in sports, as well as city officials hoping to attract major sporting events in their cities.
Committed to attracting this type of event to Québec City, Mr. Marc Magny, Sales Manager-International Sports Conventions and Business Development, travelled to Lausaunne, where 50 international sports organizations and federations are based, including the International Olympic Committee.
Marc will be at City Events with a unique calling card: SportAccord Convention 2012. The success of the 10th edition of the Convention positioned Québec City among top destinations for sporting events.
Furthermore, Québec City enjoys the support of Ms. Anna Hellman, former SportAccord Convention Managing Director, now working at Além International Management Inc.
Québec City is also represented by Mr. Denis Paquet, the City’s sports events advisor, who works to bring major events to Québec, such as FIS Cross-Country World Cup and Grands Prix cyclistes.
