Columbia International Festival Marks 30 Years of Global Culture and Diversity in South Carolina This April

The Columbia International Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds on April 5-6. This year’s event is set to offer an expanded selection of exhibits, entertainment, and international cuisine, ensuring something for everyone. To enhance accessibility, free parking will be provided.
“Featuring 113 national exhibitors, including Turkey, along with representatives from 104 UN-recognized countries and 9 non-UN nations, this will be our most diverse festival to date,” said Dr. Raj Aluri, CIF Director.
Event Highlights:
- Parade of Nations: Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m.
- Fashion Shows: The Adult Fashion Show on Saturday at 4 p.m., and the Children’s Fashion Show on Sunday at 4 p.m.
- International Food Court: Savor dishes from 20 vendors representing countries like Bangladesh, China, India, Korea, France, Peru, and more.
- Bazaar Marketplace: Explore unique handmade items from regions such as Ghana, Korea, the Middle East, Russia, and Europe.
- Service Organizations: Connect with 16 groups, including Lutheran Services of the Carolinas and the USC College of Education.
Festival Hours:
- Saturday, April 5: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 6: Noon – 7 p.m.
Ticket Prices:
- $10 for adults
- $7 for teens (ages 13-19)
- FREE for children under 13
