Pack your suitcase! Louisville has just been named one of “America’s Best Cities for Fall Travel” by Travel + Leisure magazine.
The article toasts the city’s bourbon culture and the Urban Bourbon Trail, Louisville’s popular cocktail and culinary tourism experience, which just expanded to 34 stops in July.
Down One Bourbon Bar & Restaurant gets a shout-out in the piece for having 120 bourbons on its menu. The Main Street restaurant is also touted for its fall-friendly Pecan Pie Cocktail (bourbon with praline liquor and spiced cherry bitters).
Iroquois Park and Jack O’ Lantern Spectacular, Louisville’s celebration of fall spotlighting more than 5,000 carved pumpkins lighting a one-third mile trail, were also applauded by Travel + Leisure.
